Biography
Othmane Zolati is a highly acclaimed adventurer, explorer and filmmaker whose incredible feats of endurance and daring have captivated audiences around the world. He is best known for his award-winning documentary film “Africa and I”, which chronicles his epic four-year journey through 24 countries in Africa.
During his journey, Othmane traveled by foot, bicycle, and skateboard, encountering a wide variety of cultures, landscapes, and challenges along the way. His goal was to share his experiences with others and inspire them to pursue their own dreams, while also challenging common stereotypes and misconceptions about Africa.
Since completing his African adventure, Othmane has continued to push the boundaries of what is possible, embarking on a winter cycling journey around Türkiye and also sailing across the Atlantic from Cape Town, South Africa to Houston, USA in a journey that took 70 days to complete.
Othmane’s passion for adventure has earned him numerous accolades, including recognition as one of the world’s best travelers at the Dubai Travelers Festival in 2017, as well as the 2018 Adventurer of the Year at the Morocco Adventure Film Festival. In 2022 he received an award for the best documentary film at the Pan African film festival, an Oscar qualifying film festival.
In addition to his filmmaking and adventurous pursuits, Othmane has also presented numerous photo exhibitions in Morocco, South Africa, and Dubai, showcasing his stunning images from his travels. He has been interviewed on various radio, television, and magazine programs, and has a large following on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
